I've not exactly been prolific lately, have I?
There have been reasons. They can wait for another day.
Convergence. That's what I call it when the Superhero World intersects with Real Life.
The Superhero World is a place that exists out of time and space, where you're the hottest guy on the planet and mere mortals bend and fall at your feet. It's where you can smile from ear to ear and think to yourself, "I'm never going to be able to put this on Facebook!"
In Superhero World I might snog a DJ whilst an ex-trick,
my husband and a potential fuck look on in astonishment. In Superhero world, my friends, anything is possible.
Real Life? That's what your parents see. That's what your office co-workers see. That's your public face, the washed out, banal mask you wear to hide your true nature.
Recently, at an ever-increasing rate, the Superhero World and Real Life have been converging. Wherever we go, we seem to run into
witnesses.
I had hoped to finish the Greece 2009 saga before this weekend. I had hoped that I would find the time to wrap it up before starting a new chapter. It seems, though, that I have allowed myself to be diverted by day-to-day existence. It happens.
Tomorrow morning, early, we board a little orange plane headed for Greece. Headed for
Mykonos, to be precise. Yes, this year we're being greedy. They say you can
never go back. Well, we're not listening to the nay-sayers.
I may not be able to blog whilst out there but, if possible, I'll upload photos.
It amused me this morning to see that GB of "Gay Banker" (see blog links to the right) is currently on Mykonos, too, holidaying with his new boyfriend, T. Judging by his posts, I'm guessing he'll be there through through the weekend! Could this be even more convergence, this time from the anonymous blog-o-sphere?
